Our vision for the Extended Care program is to help children engage in work that captures their interest and imagination, in keeping with a Montessori classroom. We want to provide activities that are familiar to them from their Toddler Community/Children’s House as well as materials that are unique and special to this time of day. The extended day program comprises students from both Children’s House classrooms, so children get the opportunity to make friends and practice socialization outside of their daytime peer group. Children also have the option to go outside in the afternoon, weather permitting.
