Our School
Our purpose is to prepare children for life. We celebrate every child’s individuality and help them discover how they can best contribute to the world.
Children are naturally curious. We meet that curiosity with developmentally-designed environments, a community of well-prepared, loving staff, and families who share our mission.

Our History
CRMS opened in November 2011 as Cathedral Hill Montessori School, with eight children and two classrooms. Over the following years, the school grew its programs and deepened its commitment to accessibility, diversity, equity, and belonging.
In 2024, after a rebranding process and a move to newly constructed environments at Bandana Square, the school became Common Roots Montessori School.

Accreditation
Common Roots Montessori School is accredited by Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) and AMI/USA — confirming our commitment to Dr. Montessori’s method and a consistent standard of quality. To learn more about the standards of an AMI accredited-school, visit AMI School Standards.
