Interested in joining our school? We’d love to meet you and get to know your child. Here’s how the process works.
1
Get in Touch
If you’d like to enroll your child at Common Roots Montessori School, please get in touch! We can be reached by phone at (651) 222-1555 or by email at info@crmschool.org.
2
Tour the School
Interested families are first invited to join us for a tour, which includes a look at the school and a session with our Head of School for any additional information. Tours are scheduled weekdays at 9:30am.
3
Apply
After your tour, you’re welcome to submit an Application for Admission, along with a $50 non-refundable application fee.
4
Acceptance
When your child is accepted, we will promptly send an enrollment packet to your family, including an acceptance letter and an enrollment contract to be signed by all parents/guardians. Families have two weeks to respond to our offer of acceptance.
If our classrooms are fully enrolled, we’ll place your child’s name in our Waiting Pool. As openings become available, we admit children from the Wait Pool rather than on a first-come, first-serve basis — making every effort to balance our classrooms in keeping with the Montessori method.
5
A Place for Your Child
Once we’ve received your signed Enrollment Contract and the $400 Registration Fee, a place will be reserved for your child. Your family will then receive its own copy of the Family Handbook, a welcome letter from your child’s new Guide, and your child’s Phase-in Schedule. All enrollment forms must be signed and submitted well before the first day of school.
6
Child’s Visit
Once your contract has been processed, the Head of School will work with your family to schedule a time for your child to visit. The Lead Guide will introduce the classroom environment and some of its learning materials, then observe your child for about 15–20 minutes. While your child explores, parents are invited to meet with the Head of School and ask any questions about the rest of the admissions process.
7
Phase-In and Orientation
To help your child have a positive transition, we’ll provide a Phase-in Schedule for the first week of school. Phase-in takes place over the first 3–5 days, depending on the program and schedule you choose. By the final day, our goal is for your child to feel comfortable enough to continue with their regular school schedule.
We look forward to
meeting you
